Pentecost is a time to reflect on the immense gifts God pours out for us through His Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost is the soul and the source of life of the Church. Christ’s Church was born on the day of Pentecost through the breath of Christ.
The Blessed Virgin Mary conceived Christ by the power of the Holy Ghost. She was with the disciples gathered in prayer on the day of Pentecost to preside over the birth of the Church. We must realize that we need the Holy Ghost to fulfill our apostolic activity to build up the Body of Christ. We possess the very same Spirit the disciples received, therefore we have the very same power within us to accomplish great things in Christ.
Sincerely in Christ,
Rev. Jeffery A. Fasching
